New pedals from E-13. Staccato 8
Check these new pedals out from e-13. They have a replaceable top and bottom plastic plates in different colors. 17mm pedal body. Looks like a serviceable pedal. When the plastic gets mashed over time simply get new parts. Nice. And in seafoam...

Not sure. Waiting for more info to come out. I hear the weight is insanely light. Price may be insanely high though..

Also in white. Rumored to have adjustable spin. I really like the design. I am a fan of parallelogram pedal designs.

I saw those in person today at the Open, and all I can say is SICCCKKKK! They were very light, and had a very low profile to it with a large platform. The only thing I was Skeptical about was the plastic Body.

The studs thread into the aluminum wafer that forms the sub-body. I love 'em!!! Only question is--how much?

That plastic will get based to crap so quickly, it will be silly. Seafoam green made an ugly chainguide, and it makes an ugly pedal. White pedals, please. They will be so muddy and stained and scuffed, they will look like hell. Even if it is not structural, I can't see how that plastic will hold up to being bashed off rocks.

I reserve the right to remain skeptical of a pedal with that much plastic on it.

I was checking them out at the Open the other day and I really liked them. Super lightweight, thin profile, large platform, very serviceable and had a lot of cool features... one being the adjustable spin control.

Re: New pedals from E-13. Staccato 8
they look fantastic! hopefully the plastic plates will be very cheap so that it's no big deal to replace them, but somehow i doubt that will happen.

Re: New pedals from E-13. Staccato 8
A ton of people have been using plastic pedals in bmx for a while now. They are popular because they are light and cheap, they are made to be ridden for a couple of months then replaced for 12 dollars. How much are these gonna cost? are they bushings or bearings? I really doubt they will have much of a lifespan and bet they will cost some silly amount of money but they look totally badass.

I believe the bearings they use are industrial grade designed for use in and used in machines that run 24x7x365 in factories and such...or so I overhear.... they aren't plastic pedals so much as metal pedals with plastic facing on them. weight? they had to tie them to the table to keep them from floating away
