And as BB said, they are primarily metal with a plastic cover. The cover is only a couple mm thick (literally paper thin where it covers the spindle), and actually 'keys' into the medal pedal body itself.

Weight: STOOOPID light. The top of the line Ti/Mag version is going to be around 380g for the set i believe.
