Post Is this web site dead
Is this web site dead. I do not see anyone using, commenting, posting things going on in the Northeast. No mountain bike rides happening. No new photos. The only poeple that I see using this site is Sinister Mob, sicktrick89 and a few others. Not much new news on mountain biking- bikes -places to ride -nothing. Could someone give me the skinny! If there is a new site hook a brother up and let me know. thanks the trailboss.

For all intents and purposes, this site is dead.

I suggest that the forums be condensed down to 1-5 topics to encourage traffic. There are far too many headings for the amount of use the site has been receiving.

Pretty much, things died a few years ago with the purging of former moderators.

too bad. The mountain bike world is larger than the former mods- seems like allot of views but few replys. maybe forums in general are dying.

Here is my take:
1. Form a bike porn thread.
2. Keep the 'For Sale' thread

Ash can the rest of the threads. There's threads on this site where nothing has been posted in years. Catamount has DH'ing?????????

Google and/or Youtube should be able to answer virtually every question you have about repairs, bikes, where and where races are being held, etc...

If you don't know where to ride, what to ride, how to dress when you ride, what tires to use, or where the cool riding spots are, it means you're a dolt and don't deserve the information in the first place!

I agree that we only need a few of the forums here, most can be deleted but I disagree with the last part. There are always new folks to the sport and they need info about where to ride, what to ride etc and forums can be a great source of info.

WTF good would deleting stuff do?
Ain't like that's gonna alluvasudden rejuvenate things.
Besides, the best entertainment ever on this site is buried in the archives 5+ years back. You don't wanna lose that stuff; it's historical evidence that mt bikers used to have personalities.

No need to delete data, but combining some of the forums would certainly streamline things. Then again, no one is here so who gives a crap.

Yea, some of the old $hite is funny as hell.........but digging back into the archives to re-live when times were good is kinda like looking at your wedding album with your wife if ya know what I mean.......I try not to do it.....reminds me of how happy I was back in the day. 0X

Ya think in 7-8 years when my son is old enough to start cruising forums about biking, he's gonna stop here, sign up, and contribute..........prowly not, he'll have his IPhone 78 and will be perfectly content to go DH'ing, park riding, trail riding, and road riding all on is 17 pound do it all combo hardtail, full squish, fixie, 48 speed, 27.25 inch wheeled do-everything bike. He won't have any time for forums, every question about bikes and trails has already been answered and will be at his fingertips via a f'n palm held brain.

That actually looks like a fun area to ride.

Lynn. If you've never been there you owe it to yourself to go. Look for a guide though to hit up the good stuff.
