Post Should I use the two large cleats on my new MTB shoes -
Just got some new MTB Shoes. I mostly ride eggressive cross country / All Mtn / No Free Ride.
I never used them on my other shoes but was wondering about suggestions.

I am making the assumption that you are asking about clipless peddles. If so I very much prefer riding with these compared to flats when riding XC. Of course others will disagree on their riding styles. I like the extra control and power that you can get from being clipped in.

Here is an article that I was looking at.

I think he's asking about toe spikes.

Throw them away.

If he is talking about toe spikes then I have not used them and have no need to use them.

Aren't they for muddy conditions while walking your bike?

I've got them on my XC shoes. They come in handy when you need to get off and push your bike up steep hills. I would keep them on if you plan on ridding aggressive XC and being clipped in. If you were riding DH or Freeride, then I would absolutely agree with Slaphead and toss those things.

Toss 'em, they're useless.
