 how is the new trail?
last time I was up at Hland they were working on a new trail (or feature) under the lift - it looked like it might be a new top to N.E. Style. What's the story? How is it?

Re: how is the new trail?
There's the new section of fancy feast, which is the new trail next to NE style. Flowy, pretty fun. The wooden feature is a bridge over that trail. Haven't seen it gapped yet, there isn't much of a lip into it, and it's pretty long to pro-hop.

Re: how is the new trail?
The trail that goes under the bridge is a continuation of "happy hour". Eventually it will go top to bottom but for now it comes back into "NE Style". It is a little soft right now but still extremely fun to ride. Very flowy fast smooth trail. Cant wait to ride it again this weekend.

Quote: There's the new section of fancy feast, which is the new trail next to NE style ^ I think you guys mean Hellion. That's the trail with the bridge over Maiden. Check out the trail map: http://highlandmountain.com/visit/trail-mapbully - when was the last time you were up there? Last year they re-worked the middle section of NE style but nothing has been done to the top section. They also re-routed the bottom of Fancy Feast last year. There's a lot of new stuff. I hadn't been there in over a year and I went a couple of weekends ago and was amazed at the amount of changes/additions/improvements. They've completed the bottom section of Hellion. They've added Happy Hour, which replaces the top of Shileighleigh and Eastern Hemlock and connects to Hellion, Maiden, and Eastern Hemlock. There's the new race trail which uses parts of Maiden. I also saw them working on a new wooden drop on NE style at the beginning of the re-worked middle section.

K-norts, from the last time you were there (im assuming) they built a bridge that you ride over on NE style. This bridge is after the table right after the g-force berm on NE. As you stated, happy hour does bring you to Hellion (which also has a bridge over maiden) but now instead of going straight into hellion you can take a left handed berm which is the new continuation of happy hour. It eventually takes you right under the lift and the newly built bridge.

Re: how is the new trail?
I was up three weeks ago and they were just finishing up the bridge right below the lift (it was a Friday, they were supposed to open it the next day). is the bridge run part of NE Style or an extension of Happy Hour? I couldnt really tell what the run was flowing from...? Thanks - cant wait to see for myself!

Re: how is the new trail?
The bridge under the lift is the re-work section of NE Style. That new bridge will go over the new trail Happy Hour. That bridge is actually perfectly placed to give you some speed for the berm and following table section. Plus it is a great spot to stop and rest.

I heard they are putting couches and vending machines on top of both bridges...

Re: how is the new trail?
So where is the continuation of Happy Hour going to go if it goes under lift? Over toward Threshold?

Re: how is the new trail?
The bridges are also designated pee areas. That way, you can stop on the bridge, take a break, chat a bit, all while you are hanging your wire over the side for a bit of relief. It's actually pretty smart if you ask me. Kinda like a 'scenic view' pulloff on the roadways.
