     Yakima Launches Web Site To Showcase Interbike

Yakima will launch a web site, InterBikeBuzz.com, to cover the 2002 Interbike Expo for those left behind to man the shops. The site follows in the footsteps of Yakima's summer Outdoor Retailer Web site, www.orbuzz.com.

Besides 2003 Yakima product, InterBikeBuzz.com will feature hot bikes on the show floor. The site will feature live coverage everyday.



     Performance Bike Announces Recall of Bar Ends

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Performance Inc., of Chapel Hill, N.C., is voluntarily recalling about 900 sets of bar ends, which are handlebar extensions used on mountain bikes. The bar ends can crack when tightened and come loose during use, which can cause riders to lose control of the bicycle and possibly suffer injuries. read more

     Interbike Breaks Attendance Record

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Interbike Expo opened to a record crowd this Sunday, drawing some 20,000 attendees which was the single largest day of attendance in show history. Typically attendance figure highs have around 17,000 to 18,000. The increase is being attributed to the expo's new shortened format.
