     Vietnam Parking - Vehicles Are Now Being Towed

MILFORD, MA - The most common place to park to ride the Vietnam trails in Milford, MA is at the industrial park on RT-85. The landlord has had one too many complaints from his tenets and said that they are now towing all vehicles that enter the parking lots with bikes.

All tenants have been instructed to call the police when they see cars with bikes entering and the police have been told to call for a tow truck! read more



     Spinal Injuries Take Down Two in BC

After filming on Monday for Kranked V, Tarek Rasouli, a Race Face/Rocky Mountain sponsored rider, had a serious spinal injury while attempting a large jump. Tarek was airlifted down to Vancouver General Hospital and is undergoing surgery. read more

     Whistler Bike Park Fatality

WHISTLER, CANADA - On Thursday August 8th, Allen Moore of Langley BC died after crashing at the Whistler Bike Park. Moore, 33, apparently crashed on the last jump of "Crabapple Hits", one of the hill's most popular trails. Moore's full face helmet was destroyed in the crash and he suffered severe trauma to his head and chest. read more

     Avid Cautions Retailers On Disc Brake Set Up

Leaving too much cable extending past the cable anchor can result in the cable catching in the rotor, which could then be pulled into the caliper, causing the wheel to lock up at an inopportune time. read more

BETHEL, CT - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Cannondale Corp., of Bethel, Conn., is voluntarily recalling about 1,300 bicycles with defective stems. This amount represented net proceeds from the 7th Annual Watershed Wahoo, a mountain bike race held by FOMBA in Candia NH and part of the Eastern Fat Tire Association New England Championship Series. read more



     Marin Mountain Bikes Announce Recall of Mountain Bikes

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Marin Mountain Bikes, of Novato, Calif., is voluntarily recalling about 1,000 Marin-brand, aluminum-framed mountain bikes. The steer tube on the front of these bicycles can break off from the two main tubes of the frame causing the rider to lose control, fall and possibly suffer serious injury. read more

RYE, NH - Rye Airfield, a new non-profit extreme sports park just north of Boston, held it's first annual Big Wheels 26" mtb Park contest. This contest brought together some of the top amateur and pro street riders mountain biking has ever seen. They competed in a state of the art, 50,000 square foot Mecca of ramps, rails, ledges, spines, minis and much more! Riders were pulling backflips, tailwhips, 360's, no handers and supermans. People were just getting crazy and going big. read more
